SVDN Employment Opportunity – Social Development File Clerk (2021.10.22)

Position Summary: Reporting to the Social Development Officer, the File Clerk will be responsible for the
complete organization of all the files for the Social Development department with SVDN. They are responsible
for ensuring that there is access to all immediate paperwork at any time.

Duties:
– File paperwork in the appropriate area & improve accuracy of the filing system
– Retrieve paperwork when it is requested
– Input paperwork into the electronic database
– Update records with new information
– Perform regular quality checks on the file system to ensure minimal error
– Keep logs of paperwork that is taken out
– Ensure that sensitive information is safeguarded, and confidentiality of files is protected
– Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
– Grade 12 Diploma or GED equivalent
– Administrative or office experience required
– Broad range of computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office products and data management
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and personal information in a confidential manner
– High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and strong organizational skills required
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Valid Manitoba Drivers license with access to a reliable vehicle
– Ability to provide as a condition of employment a Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Clear Adult Abuse Registry Check and Clear Child Abuse Registry Check
– Knowledge of Indigenous cultural, customs, and traditions
