RE: Office Closure Clarification/Community
Attention Membership,
Sioux Valley Dakota Nation offices will be closed effective December 24, 2021 through
to December 28th reopening December 29th
.
Remote work plans have been implemented within several office spaces. For clarity,
this does not represent a community lockdown.
At the time of this release, it is recognized our test positivity rate is increasing both at a
provincial and local level. Active cases exist within the community and our surrounding
communities.
It has recently been said: “An event canceled is better than a life canceled. It’s
better to cancel now and celebrate later than to celebrate now and grieve later.”
Never has this rang truer.
As we enter the holiday season, please be aware of the risk COVID-19 poses to you,
the Oyate, and the community as a whole.
