With the help of SVDN Health, Jordan’s Principle and several other volunteers from other departments such as Dakota Tiwahe Services and KODA 93.5, Sioux Valley Dakota Nation was able to have a Spring Break Festival to offer some fun and activities for not just the student on spring break from school, but for parents and grandparents to be able to sit and visit and participate in activities as well. The list of numerous activities was a tremendous undertaking for involved. We are extremely proud to have been able to accomplish all that was done.
There was music, races, braiding contest, twist contest, card games, moccasin games, horseshoes, archery, face painting, limbo contest, high heel races, wagon rides and bouncy castles, as well as several other activities and events. We are thankful to those who assisted in making this possible and we are thanks to all who attended and participated. I was a wonderful three days.
