SIOUX VALLEY EDUCATION UPDATE:
We hope everyone is healthy and keeping safe. Just a reminder to keep practicing physical distancing by staying at least 2 meters away from all people who live outside your house. We commend all for their efforts to stop the spread of this pandemic. By working together, we protect the vulnerable.
By now, all parents should have received the home package that includes activities for the entire family and the education package which included ELA and Math work for each student at their levels that they are currently at. We encourage all students to work for an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon on these packages. Our staff is available for any questions your child may have regarding these packages. Please be aware the answer keys with solutions are in the back of the booklets (Grades 5 – 12).
These assignments will not be handed in for marking. Students are encouraged to connect with their teachers to keep their educational levels up and reinforce previous learning. Many teachers are available for zoom conferencing and google classroom. Please refer to the contact listed below for teacher’s email accounts. Please take advantage of this!
If you have not received a package, please contact the local school site to arrange a pickup time. We apologize for any inconvenience.
We believe it is important to connect with families during this time. Our teachers will be contacting home, regarding our students, Tuesday and Thursday every week. If you have not received a call, please email or message your child’s teacher to update your phone number. We would like to stay connected to all while practicing the physical distancing that is recommended.
Stay safe and stay home!
