On October 18, 2021 Sioux Valley Dakota Nation held a Grand Opening and Ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly build Skate Park and Gazebo, both located at the Sioux Valley pow-wow grounds.
The Skate Park is dedicated to the memory of the late Lance White Jr, who was an avid skateboarder in the community and always dreamt of a skate park being built in his community. Chief and council were honoured to bring this project to life and see it open in the community.
