Fire & Tea Boiling Contest
Think you can get a fire going with only 5 matches?
The Challenge:
-Competition is Individual
-Youth & Adults welcome – open to everyone
-All participants receive the same materials
-Build and maintain your own fire
-No lighters
-No paper or other fire starters
-Only 5 matches will be provided
-Participants must prepare their own kindling
-Successfully boil the full 2 bottles of water
-Use your boiled water to make your tea
-If you spill you water, you are disqualified
-First person to successfully bring all their water to a boil and make their tea WINS!
Materials Provided:
Wood, Hatchet, 5 Matches, Boiling Can, 2 Bottles of Water, Tea Bag
First to finish wins!

Participants must follow all contest and fire safety instructions
Big Earring Contest
Think traditional beaded earrings… but SUPER-SIZED!
The Challenge:
-Earrings must be HANDMADE
-Earring must be BIGGER THAN A SERVING PLATE
-Get CREATIVE, recreate look of beads, fringe, and other designs
-Entries can be made AHEAD OF TIME
-Participants must PROVIDE OWN MATERIALS
-MATERIALS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY CAMP
-Bring your completed earrings to culture camp to enter
-Earrings must be WEARABLE
-Participants must WEAR AND PRESENT THEIR EARRINGS TO THE JUDGES
Four Winners: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Place
Judging will be bases on:
Creativity, Originality, Craftsmanship, Use of materials, Presentation
Submission & Judging –
August 26, 2026 at 1:30PM @ Culture Camp Site
Please create and wear your earrings safely. Participants are responsible for their own safety while creating and presenting their entries.
