The Sioux Valley Gaming Center (SVGC) has been operating since July 1997, and currently employs approximately 25 Sioux Valley community members who work in Security and Cashier services. All profits from SVGC provide funding to the community in meeting compassionate and funeral needs, and providing elder assistance where there is no funding from other sources. SVGC also assists with Sports and Recreational fees for youth interested in sports such as hockey, football and baseball. In addition to youth recreation, it also funds summer and winter community events, such as the annual Sioux Valley Pow Wow and Dakota Nation Winterfest, as well as local Spiritual gatherings.
