Sioux Valley Dakota Nation has been observing Sept. 30 as early as 2016 and has continued to do so every year since. This years observance has taken on a new form of growth and collaboration. In the spirit of Truth and Reconciliation, SVDN Planning Committee, BIRS Project director Katherine Nichols and Brandon Urban Aboriginal Peoples Council (BUAPC) has joined forces to recognize the not only the day, but other days leading up to and after September 30th.

We hope that everyone will take some time to take part in some of the events and learn some history, culture and share in the spirit of Truth & Reconciliation.
