Community Notice Re: Water Treatment Plant Proceeding As Scheduled (2024.05.15)
Sioux Valley Dakota Nation Infrastructure Department would like to notify all SVDN residents currently on the waterline or receiving water delivery to disregard previous posting “Postponed to a later date”, as we were able to rectify issue in a timely manner. We will proceed as scheduled below:
Wednesday, May 15, 2024, beginning at 8:30 pm, Zone 1 (west side of the current wtp) will be tied in, all water north of our current treatment plant will be shut off for 3 hours max.
Thursday, May 16, 2024, beginning at 8:30 pm, Zone 2 (south side of central hill) will be tied in. Water between house #3300 going south towards and up to house #3629 will be shut off for 3 hours max.
To minimize overworking our treatment plant, we ask that the community member conserve water during this time.
All estimated times are dependent on a smooth transition with safety and expedience to ensure minimal disruption. We will continue to monitor each phase transition and address any problems should they arise.
Additionally, as a precautionary measure, we are including a “Boil Water Advisory” starting Wednesday, May 15, at 8:30pm until further notice.
Water will continue to be tested over the next 48hr period to ensure safe clean water for the community.
