Sioux Valley Gaming
Sioux Valley Dakota Nation is accepting letters of interest for Four to Five (4-5) “Gaming Commission Board Members”
Monthly honorariums will be provided to the successful candidates.
- Applicants must have a genuine interest in gaming governance and maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of Sioux Valley Gaming operations
- Applicants must be a registered member of Sioux Valley Dakota Nation, maintain a positive and healthy lifestyle, and understand Dakota culture, history, and language
FUNCTION/DUTIES
- 1. Attend Gaming Commission Board meetings
- 2. Provide recommendations to Chief and Council
- 3. Oversee and support gaming operations governance and compliance
Board Meetings
Board Members are required to attend all scheduled meetings. Members absent for more than two (2) meetings without valid reason may be removed and replaced. Applicants must be able to attend meetings in person or virtually, as required.
Recommendations to Chief and Council
Recommendations made by the Gaming Commission Board will be brought forward to Chief and Council for consideration. The Board will operate with integrity and Independence in its decision-making process.
Letters of interest can be dropped off at the Sioux Valley Finance Office on the main floor of the New Governance Building in Sioux Valley Dakota Nation.
The Deadline to Apply is April 17, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
