Because it is Spring and we have experienced a great deal of melting in a short period of time, our playground is very wet and muddy in spots. In spite of instructions from staff for students to stay away from puddles during recess, some still have a difficult time resisting the urge to splash in the puddles and as a result their clothes become soaked with water and uncomfortable to wear. We are asking parents to send with their child some extra clothing (mitts, pants, and socks especially) in case accidents happen.
