URGENT: SCHOOL CLOSURE NOTICE
Sioux Valley School – Friday, January 23, 2026
Due to the extreme cold conditions continuing overnight and forecasted to remain at dangerous levels throughout tomorrow, Sioux Valley School will remain CLOSED on Friday, January 23, 2026.
This closure includes all grades from Head Start through Grade 12, for staff and students.
Extreme Temperatures: Wind chill values are expected to remain between -40°C and -48°C. Under these conditions, frostbite on exposed skin can occur in less than 10 minutes.
The safety of our children and our staff continue to be the highest priority.
SV Elementary and Highschool will be closed tomorrow and there will be no provincial bus run.
