“Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 19th the K-6 school will be taking their year-end field trip to Souris. Students will be swimming in the community pool and afterwards watching a movie. Students will be provided a lunch on site that will consist of a sandwich (bologna or ham), a bag of chips, and a drink. Parents are welcome to send a bag lunch with their child if this menu is unsuitable.
The pool has requested that any students who have the ability to bring their own life jackets should please do so, as they may not have enough life jackets to accommodate everyone. Students without a life jacket will be restricted to specified sections in the pool for their own safety. If you have a life jacket to send, please label it with your family name so it can be returned.
The buses will pick up your child in the morning per usual and taken to the school where attendance will be take by teachers, and then the buses will leave Sioux Valley at 9:00 a.m. to get to Souris in time for the activities.
Students are required to take this field trip. There will be no supervision at the school for children, as all staff will be supervising the trip. Any students who miss the bus in the morning will remain at home for the day.”
