The SVES Before and After School child care program
will start tomorrow, November 13, 2024.
There is no charge for the program, but it is available only for SVES students whose parents are working during the day. The program runs from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. the morning of each school day, and from 3:35 to 5:30 p.m. at the end of each school day. The program will run in sync with the school calendar.
Parents of eligible children are asked to arrive at the school’s west entrance tomorrow morning to complete a registration form and receive an information packet from the program workers.
The maximum number of students that will be accepted is 20, and registration will be on a first-come, first served-basis.
No snacks or drinks will be provided for students in the program, so parents are encouraged to send healthy snacks for their child if they prefer. Packaged snacks that contain high levels of sugars, dyes, and/or additives are strongly discouraged, and may be confiscated and returned to parents at the discretion of the program workers. Students will receive breakfast in their classroom as per normal each school day.
