Due to the recent power outage affecting our community, Sioux Valley Dakota Nation is committed to supporting our members during this challenging time.
Emergency Assistance Program:
To help alleviate the burden on households affected by the outage, we will be providing emergency assistance for obtaining grocery provisions. Below are the details of the assistance program:
Assistance Details:
- Eligibility: On-reserve households affected by the power outage exceeding 30 hours.
- Provision Items: Basic assistance to secure perishable items lost due to power outage.
- Distribution Location: Sioux Valley Health Centre.
- Distribution Times: Friday June 21, 2024 09:00-4:00 PM
How to Access Assistance:
- Registration: Please register at the Health Centre to receive your assistance package. Bring a valid ID or proof of residence. Issuance will only be provided to the Head of Household – no exceptions.
- Pickup: Once registered, you can collect your provisions at the designated distribution times.
