Elders Advisory Group
Parental Support Group
History of Jordan’s Principle:

Jordan Anderson was a First Nations child from Norway House Cree Nation who was born with complex medical needs. He spent most of his life in the hospital because of jurisdictional disputes between the federal and provincial governments over who would pay the costs for in-home care. Jordan Anderson passed away in 2005. He was 5 years old and had never spent a day in a family home. Jordan’s Principle was created to put the child first and put an end to jurisdictional financial disputes.

Location and Staff:

Jordan’s Principle is a program under SVDN Health and is currently located in admin building across from the school.
