Sioux Valley Dakota Nation youth, Bryce Hanska, son of mother Shantel Taylor, stepfather Darnell Essie, father Doug Hanska, stepmother Destiny Jackson.
Bryce currently plays left defence with the U15 Virden Jr. Oil Capitols Team.

This past weekend, January 9-11, 2026, they travelled to Watford City North Dakota to compete in the Watford City Winter Classics Tournament. The team went undefeated all weekend. Winning their first game against the Devil’s Lake Flames 6-0, also winning their second game against the Mandan Mayhem 9-1, and confirming their spot in the championship game after defeating the Williston Flyers 17-1.
The Virden Jr. Oil Capitols then defeated the Langdon Blades in the Championship game 4-1
