Community Notice- Lockdown Extended (05.14.21)

May 13, 2021

Attention Membership,

Evidence always plays a major role in devising a strategy for any health threat. The suppression strategy used within our lockdown approach has not yet halted the spread of infection, however, has reduced our daily case count considerably. In the instances of pop-up infections to date, failure to abide by the lockdown strategy accounts for these cases.

All members are reminded that violating COVID-19 health orders and failing to properly self-isolate is punishable by fine. Provincial fines for people who break public health rules are $1,296.

The community lockdown will be extended beyond May 17th as follows:

May 18, 2021 – Full Lockdown

May 19, 2021 – Full Lockdown

May 20, 2021 – Relaxed Lockdown (revised to accommodate Child Tax Benefit)

Case activity and transmission patterns will be reviewed and lay the framework for our next community steps. Remember, it is only with your support that we can continue to protect our community; we must all do our part to protect the Oyate

During both full and relaxed lockdown days, members are able to exit their home and enter the outdoors. At no point should there be interaction between separate households or with members considered outside an immediate household bubble. For clarity, outdoor activity is permitted – this includes things such as walking, biking and fishing as long as this occurs within the community and within the immediate household membership

ATV/recreational vehicle use will be permitted to households not identified as a household under isolation. Again, at no point should there be interaction between separate households or with members considered outside an immediate household bubble.
