Community Notice – Season’s Greeting from SVDN (2020.12.17)

Han Mitakuyapi,

Good day family and friends of Sioux Valley Dakota Nation

2020 has been a difficult year for many. We will definitely miss our annual community Christmas dinner this year, the opportunity to visit and share in the excitement of a visit from Santa Claus. We look forward to the New Year and being able to gather safely as a community.

As we approach the holiday season, let us all take the time to reflect on our blessings in life. To be thankful for our health, the safety and well-being of our family. We would like to take this time to wish you all a safe and happy holiday season. And most importantly let’s take care of one another, be a good relative, check on your neighbors, our elders and our loved ones. The holidays can be a lonely time for some, this Christmas let us all share our kindness, friendship and peace.

On behalf of the SVDN Chief, Council and Staff we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Stay home, stay together, stay safe.
