Attention Membership,
RE: PANDEMIC RESPONSE SYSTEM – ORANGE
The Service Delivery Organization (formerly called the Regional Health Authority) that surrounds Sioux Valley Dakota Nation is called Prairie Mountain Health. It runs east-west from Saskatchewan/Manitoba border communities like Benito, Elkhorn and Russell to Waterhen Lake, Lake Manitoba and Treherne. From north-south, the region runs from the 53rd parallel north of Mafeking and close to Dawson Bay, right down to the United States border near communities like Melita, Deloraine, Boissevain, Killarney and Cartwright.
The Prairie Mountain Health region has been elevated to the restricted level (‘Orange’) according to the #RestartMB Pandemic Response System.
Be it advised that as of Monday, Aug. 24, masks will be mandatory in all Sioux Valley Dakota Nation public indoor places and at all indoor and outdoor public gatherings in the community. Public gatherings will also be restricted to 10 people, both indoors and outdoors.
Your aid in reducing the risk to our community is appreciated.
Thank You
SVDN Chief & Council
