Once again Sioux Valley Dakota Nation has successfully hosted Dakota Nation Winterfest, which was held over four days. This years event was held from January 30, 2020, to February 2, 2020
Dakota Nation Winterfest hosted many activities that included; Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball, Pool, Talent Show, Moccasin Games, Pow-Wow, Teen Dance, Monster Bingo and Tradeshow.
Dakota Nation Winterfest is proud to host one of the largest hockey tournaments held in Brandon, MB. The hockey tournament draws teams from the surrounding provinces and states.
During the Opening Ceremonies, Sioux Valley Education along with Sioux Valley Dakota Nation was proud to have students attend and sing O’ Canada in the Dakota Language.
