SVDN Flood Notice – Community Notice (2026.07.05)
The Sioux Valley Dakota Nation Emergency Management Team is actively monitoring the current weather conditions, surrounding community flood preparation activities, and river levels and outflow rates.
At this time, we are maintaining close communication with our partners and reviewing all available information to ensure we are prepared should conditions change.
We understand that images and reports circulating on social media may be concerning. We ask all community members to remain calm and rely on official updates from Sioux Valley Dakota Nation.

Emergency planning is underway as a precaution to ensure we are ready should conditions warrant additional action.
Community members will be notified immediately if there are any changes that require protective measures.
