As Chief I had the privilege of meeting her before our letter requesting to be part of the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs. I was impressed by her and knew that she would not only provide the leadership skills needed as a Grand Chief but would also be a role model for our women and girls. Something that is needed during these difficult times. At the time of her successful re-election bid I was convinced that the Chiefs had made the right decision.
