Please be advised that Sioux Valley School (Headstart to Grade 12) will be CLOSED TODAY, April 16, 2026
**Reason for Closure:**
Current reports indicate extremely poor highway conditions, including significant **black ice** and ice-covered roads making travel unsafe for our school buses and staff commuting from outside the community.
All Classes Cancelled: This includes Headstart, Nursery, Elementary, and High School.
Provincial Students: Bus runs for provincial high school students are also cancelled. BSD will be notified of these absences.
The safety of our children and our team is our primary concern. We will continue to monitor the road conditions and provide updates regarding tomorrow’s schedule as they become available.
