Recent changes in U.S. immigration policies may affect travelers. ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agents have increased enforcement activities, including:
Detention and deportation of individuals, Increased scrutiny at borders and airports, as well as indigenous events, including pow wows and other traditional gatherings.
If you must travel to the United States, please carry the following documents:
Letter from SVDN Membership confirming your status and enrollment
Current Enhanced Indian Status Card
Long Form Birth Certificate
Government issues photo ID, such as Valid Passport or Drivers License
Keep these documents with you at ALL TIMES.
