Fifty Sioux Valley Dakota Nation staff from various offices in the community completed a culturally appropriate two-day Lateral Violence Workshop.
The training helped staff identify lateral violence in the workplace and the cause of lateral violence in First Nation communities.
It was also discussed what to do if you feel like you are a victim of Later Violence and how to overcome the situation. The workshop ended with topics
Shane Patterson and Erin Stranger facilitate the workshop which had a first nation approach. Both facilitators were gifted star blankets at the end of the two-day event.
