On the weekend of May 19th – 21st, 2023, Sioux Valley members participated in the “Battle for Turtle Island”, an all Indigenous 5v5 Basketball Tournament. We would like to congratulate Brady Hotain, Scotty Hotain & Dryden Wombdiska for taking the “Sioux Valley Dakota’s” basketball team and placing 4th. Congratulations to the Sioux Valley Dakota’s consisting of (from left to right): Caelen Lohnes, Weston Jetty, Dylan Blind, Dryden Wombdiska, Jacob LaRcok, Jerry Lenoir iii, Douglas Yankton Jr, Brady Hotain, Scotty Hotain, Jonah Jackson for coming in 4th place at the end of the tournament. The team would also like to give a huge shout out to the Spirit Lake men for helping.
